How Do You Know If You Have Fleas?
Fleas are tiny insects and so it’s unlikely that you’ll be able to actually see them until an infestation gets particularly bad, however, they’re a common pest that have made themselves comfortable in far too many homes. The most common sign that you have a problem is the irritating bites which occur. As fleas can only jump around 1-2ft off of the ground, these usually occur on ankles and lower legs, but can also be across the rest of your body if they have infested furniture such as your sofa or bed. If you have pets, particularly dogs and cats, they are likely to be itching too.
Don’t Leave A Flea Infestation Untreated
If you have fleas, they can be both disrupting and embarrassing, as the last thing you’ll want is for any guests to also be attacked with pesky bites. Fleas infestations left untreated will continue to worsen.
As they can live for several months without food and are able to live in the smallest cracks and crevices around your home, such as carpets. Eggs are often attached carpet and fabric fibres, so strongly attached that even a thorough vacuum is unlikely to remove them. They must be properly treated with the appropriate treatment.
